A bird on its back sticking the feet up in the air is a cute way of showing death, and thats what this app is: a reminder of certain death, our limited time on earth, our mortality which makes relative all the mundane things we fuss about. Now were going Disney: a dead bird is seemingly too much of a reminder for some people to handle without giving themselves a bullet or harassing the developers about how un-PC the icon is. Whatever the reason, now we have a happy bird, not sure what hes got to do with certain death. Might as well choose Donald Duck or Mickey Mouse as a logo for this app, would be equally meaningless. And what happened to the countdown? Thats what I bought the app for! Is it a bit macabre? Yes, but thats the whole point. There no nice way of making it clear to people that life is a sexually transmitted disease that starts at conception and always is terminal.

I love the notifications of how much time Ive added to my life when I exercise. Obviously not an exact science, but highly motivating nonetheless!
